Spinning Castlemilk Moorit fleece

Copied below (with thanks to the author Alison R for giving her permission to post) is a firsthand account of spinning with some of my Castlemilk Moorit fleece.

Hi Rebecca, I visited your studio at Spring Fling and Hamish very kindly gave me around 30g of your lovely Castlemilk Moorit fleece to try hand spinning. I promised to share the results and have had a lovely time making samples. My favourite to spin was 100% Castlemilk Moorit straight from washed fleece, which surprised me as I'd read that it can be tricky to spin due it's short staple length. But your fleece is such lovely quality and I love the texture it gave, and as I didn't card or comb it, it retained its signature light and dark variation.
